Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience required.

Inspiring leadership, innovative strategic thinking, and proven ability to improve performance of under-performing News operations. Thorough knowledge of broadcast business; ability to make decisions under pressure; excellent communication, motivational, and organizational skills; strong knowledge of journalistic standards and related legal guidelines; committed to developing the staff's reporting, producing, and management skills; solid grasp of digital and social media platforms.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years as a television News Director.

Duties:

Lead and oversee all aspects of daily news operation including organization of targeted content; analyze audience research; work effectively with Marketing, Sales, Production, and JBG Omaha Radio colleagues; develop strategies and implement initiatives to engage Viewers; maintain department budget; create a productive work environment via clear communication, accountability, high journalistic standards, and teamwork; foster strong ties to the local community.
