The 2012 AWMF/Loreen Arbus Focus on Disability Scholarship theme is You Make the Difference.  We invite undergraduate and graduate students to apply for the 2012 scholarship.  Click here for details.  The application deadline is February 1, 2012.

Previous Scholarship Recipients:

Last year, the AWM Foundation and the Loreen Arbus Foundation challenged students to create a creative thought-provoking concept for a PSA based on the theme The Power of Perseverance.

The winning PSA, created by Ashley Thai Wilson (Georgia State University), reflects upon the daily obstacles people with disabilities face and how the surmounting of these obstacles allow them to become thriving and valued members of our community:

In 2010, the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation announced that George Washington University student Haley Lesavoy was the recipient of the Loreen Arbus Focus on Disability Scholarship. Ms. Lesavoy created a video Public Service Announcement (PSA) reflecting the theme of Opening Doors & Minds: Celebrating 20 Years of the ADA.
